If you have more
than one child, you will most certainly have to deal with
sibling rivalry at some point. Although this can take place
in differeng degrees, it can be a difficult situation to
manage.
Competition between
children in a family is very natural. Children want to compete
for the attention of their parents, and have not yet learned
how to "share" their parents and their affections.
When one child
believes that he or she is not receiving enough attention,
he may become jealous and possibly violent toward his sibling.
The parent may become convinced that the siblings really
do hate each other. However, these outbursts are most often
temporary, and siblings usually do have a strong emotional
bond and affection for each other.
Sibling Rivalry
can disrupt the household and if left unchecked and unmanaged,
it can spiral out of control. If your famliy is dealing
