| Parent Coaching is a relatively new tool
borrowed from the business community. Corporations have known for
decades how important it is to create and nurture effective, productive
relationships in the workplace and to facilitate change for greater
benefit through engaging subjects in one-on-one mentoring. Building
on sound principles, parent educators have successfully expanded business
models to work within families. Telephone coaching is yet another
extension of the one-on-one model.
Our coaches are not therapists. They are not counselors. They are
parenting educators with nearly two decades of experience and are
parents themselves. Professional coaching by our qualified staff enables
you to make sound effective choices and reach practical and productive
solutions to everyday struggles. Our expertise extends to infants,
toddlers, young children and throughout the teen years. We welcome
mothers, fathers grandparents and caretakers to participate in our
Parent Support Line education sessions.
Parenting Support Line founder Roz Levy has both created and facilitated parent education workshops and seminars at schools, community centers and shelters for over two decades. A former teacher, she has engaged in private parenting support sessions with mothers, fathers and grandparents. As a counselor at HAWC, Help for Abused Women and Children, she worked with mothers and their children. She frequently conducts parenting workshops and individual sessions for Families First, Inc. in Cambridge, MA.
